The Transaction Screen
The “Transaction Screen” is where reservations, check-in’s and other charges are initiated. Each customer’s stay will require a new transaction. Once your customer has been registered the address information is saved to the history file. The next time your customer calls to book a site Campground Manager® will locate the historical information and automatically fill in the name and address information saving you time.
The “Transaction Screen” provides a summary of charges and each customer record can be reviewed by performing a find on one of many search fields like “Last Name”, “Phone Number”, “City”, “Zip Code”, “License Number”, “Site Number”, and others.
Any transaction can be viewed in detail by double clicking on the corresponding line item in the list. For example by double clicking the reservation line the program will take you to the “Camping Screen” to view the details that were used in the calculation of the reservation bill. Likewise details of other charges such as Meter Bills and Point of Sale items can be charged or viewed from this window.
Payments can also be initiated or view from this window. The “Cash Receipts Screen” will provide details of each payment.
Additional charges can be initiated by clicking the “Charges Button”. “Scheduled Charges” can include monthly storage fees, security fees, mail box fees, tour packages and other miscellaneous charges. Rental Charges can include boat dock fees or other rental items. Meter Charges can be done individually or in a batch using the “Meter List” option for multiple billing. “Guest Charges” will allow you to track and bill visitors or day use to any site in the park. “Point-of-Sale” will link to the optional POS module where charges can be applied to individual customer accounts or used in a cash sale for walk up customers.
